I LOVE the Olympics!!!!

Sorry to disappoint my avid readers (all 2 of you), but you probably won't be hearing much from me the next few weeks.

Reason: 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin, Italy.

Yes, I am an Olympic freak.

It is right up there with my favorite things like Disneyland and Redwings Hockey.

Don't know why, but I thoroughly enjoy watching the Olympics.

I am probably one of the few people that make it though the Parade of Nations in the Opening ceremonies without changing the channel. Love, Love, LOVE it!!!

I can't explain why, but I love these games. I love the sportsmanship, the element of surprise, rooting for the underdog, and hearing the stories of athletes from all over the world and what it took to get them there (which they always share the dramatic ones).

I watch it (almost) all too....Figure skating, speed skating, short track, downhill skiing, moguls, snowboarding!!!!!, ski jump, hockey, skiing again and again.... (sorry, I draw the line at curling & the cross-country skiing sports)

Ahh, my favorite 2 weeks every 4 years.
